Privacy Notice and Candidate Declaration

As part of your enrolment with KnowledgeAccess (RTO #40961), we are required to collect, store, use and disclose personal information about you. This Privacy Notice explains why your information is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a candidate.

 

Why we collect your personal information

We collect your personal information so that we can:

• Assess your eligibility and process your enrolment into a nationally recognised qualification.

• Meet our obligations as a Registered Training Organisation under Australian law.

• Maintain accurate records of your progress and, if applicable, issue your qualification.

 

How we use and share your personal information

Your information may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:

• Delivery, support and administration of your qualification or units of competency.

• Compliance reporting to government departments and agencies.

• Participation in student surveys and research projects (you may opt out of surveys when contacted).

We are legally required to disclose some information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER), as part of the National VET Data Collection. The NCVER may use this data to produce national statistics, manage authenticated VET transcripts, and conduct research relating to education and training.

 

Your information may also be disclosed to:

• The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR),

• State and Territory Training Authorities,

• VET regulators such as ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority), and

• Contractors or researchers engaged by the NCVER.

 

The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

 

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to or correction of your personal information.

• Make a complaint if you believe your information has been mishandled.

• Ask questions about how your information is used or stored.

By ticking the box on the enrolment page, you confirm that:

• You have read and understood this Privacy Notice and Candidate Declaration.

• The information you provide during enrolment is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

• You consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as outlined above.

• You understand your rights and obligations as a candidate enrolling with KnowledgeAccess.

• You agree to comply with KnowledgeAccess’s policies and procedures, including those relating to assessment, appeals, refunds, privacy and certification.
